Lola Rodriguez is a minor character in The Last Ones.
Pre-Apocalypse[]
Little much is known about Lola's early life other than she eventually married Ramon Rodriguez and had two sons: Javier and Miguel with him.
Ramon was involved in a life of crime with his older brother Vicente, which Lola abhorred. After being absent for over a month, he returned home to a furious Lola, who asked him to leave and refused to let him see the children. The door rings and Ramon answers. He is shot in the chest by an unknown attacker. He collapses to the floor as the assailant leaves and Lola rushes to phone for an ambulance. A young Javier makes his way upstairs briefly and is horrified by what he sees. He goes back upstairs as Lola comes back in the room. During this time, Ramon quickly passed away, leaving Lola screaming hysterically.
Javier looked after and supported the family over the next few years and eventually found himself a job. Lola expressed how proud she was of him. Javier lost the job eventually and went to his estranged uncle Vicente for help and advice on how to steal cars and do them over like he and Ramon used to do. Eventually, Javier as caught and imprisoned for this crime.
After the trial, Lola pays a visit to Javier in prison. She tells him that Miguel and his cousin Natalia have got into college and are going to lead normal, crime-free lives, which she explains is all she ever wanted for him. She then says Javier saw what she had to go through with his father, and yet he followed in his footsteps anyway. Javier explains he needed to look after them all and was desperate after losing his job. Lola tells him he always did look after them, and it never was about money. She then departs.
Post Apocalypse[]
At some point soon after the apocalypse began Lola was killed alongside her family. Javier, having escaped from prison once society fell, took them all out after they had turned.
